ART. ARCHITECTURE . VISION

Printed on fine fabrics including European linens, architect Brandon Godwin's fabrics all start as original watercolor paintings.

Having quickly become a favorite with interior decorators, our fabrics have been featured in several magazines, including Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle and Charlotte Home & Garden.

This appreciation for the charm and beauty of natural elements as well as classical principles of architecture has also made Brandon one of the South's most compelling up and coming architects in the vein of legendary architects like Frank McCall. Together with McCall's longtime associate David Garschagen, Brandon is the founder of Garschagen & Godwin Architects.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

Our family has a rich history with the flora and fauna of the South. And we've loved seeing how people all over the world have responded to our fabrics. From our family to yours,

Thank you.

ARTIST & ARCHITECT

A native of Thomasville, Georgia and graduate from Southern Polytechnic State University in Atlanta, Georgia with a professional degree in architecture, Brandon has more than 15 years of experience with high-end custom residential, signature commercial and historic preservation architecture.

Brandon has renovated houses that have been featured on HGTV and many other projects worked on have received numerous regional awards for excellence.

Brandon's portfolio consists of many private plantation homes/estates around the South Ga/ North Fl region, public education buildings, private education, private medical practice offices as well as other gov't projects such as court houses, justice buildings, country clubs, major events centers and hotel schematics.

Brandon's thesis architecture project inspired the city of Thomasville to take on a realistic version of a state of the art, updated events center and boutique hotel in historic downtown Thomasville. The project is in the early phases of discussion now after the site location which was recommended was purchased by the city to develop.

Historic Preservation is close to Brandon's heart; having worked on several antebellum homes as well as many homes and buildings dating back to 1880s.

"Listening to clients needs/desires is the most important part of early design and bridging that gap between clients' wishes and my experience in the building environment. Being a professional artist I approach each architectural project with a completely different attitude than most other architects; since I have the ability to thoroughly sketch and even paint my ideas to ensure that the art is never lost through the design and construction process. After all, architecture is often defined as the 'Art & Science' of building."

"My education of architecture runs much deeper than just having the professional degree and license. I have had the opportunity to work and shadow under several seasoned talented architects who were part of the original, famous office of William Frank Mccall Jr. in Moultrie, Ga. Needless to say those classical details and traditional architectural elements run through my artistic bloodline. I am grateful to be able to carry that knowledge into the future to carry on the legacy of the talented architects before me. Hopefully I will be able to leave my mark as well with some of my own ideas and natural talents."

Brandon is a member of the American Institute of Architects, a LEED accredited professional and a member of the National Council for Architectural Registration Board. Brandon is currently licensed to practice architecture in Georgia, Florida, Texas where he has several projects in design and construction phases. Having an NCARB certification Brandon can practice architecture in any state in the USA.

Outside of architecture Brandon Produces high quality designer fabrics. The fabrics have been featured in Cashiers NC show houses as well as well known magazines in the Atlanta and Charlotte area. The linens are from England and Belgium and Brandon's unique Southern inspired flora & fauna images are printed here in the USA. Brandon currently sells the linens at Trolley's in Thomasville, Chrysalis in Tallahassee, and Travis. & Company in ADAC (Atlanta).

Brandon launched his own professional practice in early 2016 after working with three very well known firms around South Georgia on and off since he was 19 years old. Since beginning his own journey he has been involved with many design projects that are not currently under construction due to the extensive design time required. More current portfolio projects will be appearing as construction commences and photo opportunities are available. If a prospect client would like to view more of Brandon's unique and diverse portfolio of projects, please contact him.

Brandon accepts many commissions from art collectors around the Southeast; as well as architectural commissions. For information regarding architectural services for commercial or residential or designer fabrics please contact Brandon at his office number.
